Spring
March, April and May – mid season perfect for an extended wekkend – 15-20 degrees.

The spring season is characterised by the fact that everything is blooming. For Provence that means spring markets and festivals. The markets celebrate the strawberrys from Carpentras and the asparagus from Mormoiron. For the festivals the Provence people often wear beautiful national costumes and dance to the sound of tambourines.
In the last weekend of April the festival ’Rare Plants and Natural Gardens’ is celebrated.
Summer
June, July, August and September – peak season and summer holiday – 25-30 degrees

- Bastille Day 14. July – the French national day is celebrated with a festive sprit and fireworks on the coast

The summer season offers a cherry festival arranged by the people in Venasque in the beginning of June.
Fall
October and November – mid season perfect for an extended weekend – 15-20 degrees.
- Sailing competitions and a sailor’s fair in Nice
- The Beaujolais is brought out
- Defoliation begins in late November
- Heated pool
The fall season is the season of wine and truffles. In Côtes du Rhone, Luberon and Ventoux the people are busy harvesting grapes and when reaching November, it’s the time for truffles. The people of Carpentras and Richerenches organise 3 truffle festivals all together. Read more here.
Winter
December, January and February – low season with lots of possibilities for winding down with books and log fires – 5-15 degrees

The seasons in Provence have lots to offer. That also goes for the winter season. The winter is characterised by snow-covered mountains, Christmas lights, lots of Christmas markets and carnival.
