A man\u2019s bicycle, a ladies\u2019 bike, a ladies\u2019 touring bike and two mountain bikes.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday the 4th of February, Charlotte and I (Thomas) opened the cycling season from Villa Romarine. Get an overview of the entire route including photos here:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.relive.cc\/view\/1391357646\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u202fCycling trup from Villa Romarine to the coast and back.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We rode our bikes to St. Jeannet with two French recreational athletes; a fast beginning :). We continued along the old road, Ancienne Route de Vence \u2013 a beautiful stretch without any traffic. At the lower roundabout in St. Jeannet, we turned right (West) to get to an old bridge and a lovely creek, La Cagne, which we met again by the mouth in Cagnes-sur-Mer!<\/p>\n<p>In Vence we would have continued to the picturesque village St. Paul, but we decided to take a detour through Tourrettes-sur-Loup in order to ride on the smaller roads and to take a look at the reopened, Danish-owned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.dk\/maps\/place\/Auberge+de+Tourrettes\/@43.7169271,7.0556911,18z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x12cc2d7a70efda2b:0xd0d351afedb2d8cc!8m2!3d43.717108!4d7.056346\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Auberge de Tourrettes<\/a>. We had a nice chat with the owners and are looking forward to the 1st March, when they open for evening service. I\u2019m sure it\u2019s worth a visit.<\/p>\n<p>In St. Paul we stopped for cappuccinos and croque monsieurs before we rode all the way down to the coast in Cagnes-sur-Mer. It was wonderful to see the ocean!<\/p>\n<p>On our way home we stuck to the small and tranquil \u2013 but steep! \u2013 roads behind St. Laurent-du-Var. We climbed quickly and along almost the entire ridge, we had a great view of the Var Valley. Back in St. Jeannet we bought fresh baguettes and pain au chocolat as a reward for our lovely trip and all the kilometres.<\/p>\n<p>The last 5 km home to Villa Romarine was along the old road \u201cVieille route de Carros\u201d past the vineyard, 1,5 further ahead of the gravel road and then we reached Villa Romarine and a well-deserved beer from the holiday house\u2019s own bar. Outside, but wearing a sweater :). It was a lovely way to get to see some of the area mixed with the fresh winter air.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<div  class='hr av-edava-4779e6148a7d11c4da6011c42f27ec69 hr-default
